Battersea Park 1978 - 1978

Introduction

Battersea Park and Battersea Power Station in 1978.

Experiment with long shots, a new experience after working with super8mm which is limited to 2.5 mins per roll.

Mainly observational shots of people walking and working in Battersea Park. Occassional shots of Battersea Power Station with (at least one) smoking chimney in the background.

Also a dog that acts like it has been shot.

Camera walks around the old fountains left over from 1951 Exhibition. Work is being done to drain and clean them.

Technical: Mini DVCam transfer of 3 x U-matic Lo Band. First colour video shot.

Colour balance problems. Probably better in B&W.

No sound on location shots.

Break up between scenes.
